Select The Year Of Your Vehicle Below

The Hyundai Sonata mid-size car released in 1985. If you're behind the wheel of one these days, however, it's more than likely from 1989 or later. That year, the model offered base and GLS trims, and both incorporated a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine. In 1990, a 3.0-liter V6 became available, as did a GL trim in 1994. The 2003 model year brought with it an LX trim sporting a 2.7-liter, six-cylinder engine.

By 2007, a 3.3-liter V6 would be an option, as would a selection of five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmissions. Features would include air conditioning, heated power side mirrors, and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, plus fog lights and alloy wheels, among others. In 2021, 2.5-liter I4 engines were offered, both naturally aspirated and turbocharged, as was a 1.6-liter turbo I4, and an eight-speed auto transmission came standard. Features ranged from push-button ignition and dual-zone climate control to LED headlights and taillights. A panoramic sunroof and driver-assist tech galore were also options.
